I think it is a smart move for the Texans. Moulds is an older player, but he is a great compliment for Andre Johnson. They did save a lot of money by cutting him and that's the only reason it was a good move. This could change their draft status in April, now they might look for a reciever with the eighth pick, maybe Ted Ginn Jr. if Minnesota passes on him.

The Texans never should've traded for him in the first place. Moulds was washed up when they got him. The only reason he hated on Losman was because Holcomb literally threw 60% of his passes to Moulds, where Losman threw less than 30% of his passes to Moulds. Emo couldn't stand the fact that Lee was surpassing him. Fast forward a year, and JP has shown he's at least a good starter in this league, Evans is a legit #1 receiver, and Moulds gets cut by the Texans....the Texans. Maybe if he had shown some grace and humility, he, not Peerless Price, would've caught the game-winning TD pass from Losman against the Texans...

Good question. Although I don't know the finances behind it, purely football-wise I'd say no. Moulds is old, but he's still a strong, physical receiver who has enough speed to find a few holes in zone coverage. He has good hands and he's tough. The real shame was his last few years in Buffalo, where JP Losman's ineptitude cost him a legitimate shot at a Hall of Fame career.

I think Moulds can still play.

Sadly yes since Eric Moulds is past his prime years that he had with the Bills.

Yes. Last year was the worst season he has had in 8 years. He is getting old, losing a step and his contract would probably be a killer against the salary cap.
