Maybe you could ask one of your teachers to point you in the right direction.

ok...i have never moved but some people just moved to my school so i will do the best i can. if your new school is anything like my school, than someone who is really nice will come to you. at first they were just really shy and that's how i would be too. then i passed one of them a note and asked them too be my partner in something. of someone doesn't come to you, then ask some1 (specifically some1 who looks nice) to help you with something. then save a spot for them when you go to class. the people that moved to my class are 2 of my very best friend. chances are, youll find someone who will be a good friend. good luck!

Just take it slow & easy. Be friendly but not overly friendly. Wait until you get the lay of the land first.
I take it by friends with the right people, you mean people who share your morals & values. Don't be too quick to only see what is on the surface. We all put on our public face to strangers. Before you start to confide in others & join their circle know who they really are, just a bit of simple observance will tell you exactly who they really are & if you like what is real about them, then welcome them into your life.

Ummmm, moving to a new environment isn't always easy(I just switched schools too). It takes a lot of patience. THe main thing is to be yourself. If some people don't like you, it's their problem, not yours. I guarentee that you'll have plenty of friends! I do!!

my friend just moved. she was alone for a long time. eventually she made a friend and now she's with their group. they are ok people from what she says.
there is no 'right' people. as long as they respect you, themselves, and others, they are good people.

you go up to ppl you think that are nice ppl ask them a few questions about their grades and things like that. if they seem friendly then be their friends. then play with them for a while until you get bullied or something like that if your friends are really friends they would stick up for you. Go for it!

Just meet them and ask what they like.
Later on they might change and if you don't like them just ignore them.
Please do not try to be like the "cool" kid in school.
This girl tried that and she picks her nose like OMG!
