Bottles are probably easier to pour from and are definately less likely to leak. Also, bottles are much easier to pump into. However, they are much more expensive than bags. As far as preference, I think you will have to ask your provider.

I work at a daycare, and we have 2 babies that bring breastmilk. One brings bottles the other brings bags. I prefer the bottles because they don't leak. That mother just puts enough bottles in his bag for that day and writes his name on them with a sharpie. Another way you could label it is with masking tape and an ink pen. Just write the baby's name and when the bottle was pumped. That way the daycare can use the oldest milk first. I really didn't like the bags unless they weren't frozen. I don't know how many times I pulled a bag out of the freezer and thawed it in a cup of warm water only to find that half the milk had leaked out into the water. Hope this info helps!!!

I'm a SAHM, and won't ever be using daycare, but I still store some breastmilk for when I am out or hubby feeds her.
Bottles are fine. I label mine with masking tape, noting the date and time. The tape stays on just fine but comes off with no residue.
If you're not going to use a bottle of pumped milk within a day or two, stick it in the freezer.

You'll have to ask the specific daycare. Mine preferred the bags, and it was really easy to pump, label the bags, and then freeze them. If they don't care, I think the bags are a lot easier - easier to freeze in, and you don't have to worry about getting them back from daycare and washing them.

I would have to say from my experience, bottles worked better. My daughter was in a hospital far away from where I live and I had to transport milk back and forth and the nurses there told me to put the milk in bottles that could hold the amount for one feeding. I would pack several bottles and label them with the sticky labels and put her name and time and date I pumped the milk so they would know how long to keep the milk. For instance if your child eats 6ozs per feeding and he/she usually feeds about 4 to 5 times a day, then you would prepare 5, 6oz bottles for that day and if you have pumped extra, store it in the freezer and continue to replinish every day. It's just totally up to you

I vote for bags. They are easier to store, require no cleaning, and are easier to transport.
Ask your daycare provider what they prefer.

i have a girlfriend that bottles her milk multiple times daily while we are working, she uses labels on them and just puts the date and time on them so there isnt any confusion about when they were bottled...it seems to be a great idea and hopefully one day i will get to try it myself....

Well, bags take up less room and can be labelled with your childs name/date etc.
Personally, I'd go for the bags.
