I have my auto insurance due on the fifth, my savings account has to receive $25 every month from my checking account, I pledged to help out with $22 by sponsoring a child and it's due also on the fifth of March, and last I have my phone bill that's also due early next month. The problem is I don't have a job (I've been tirelessly searching for one) I'm not being idle. And I have thought of asking for a loan but with no success. Now, I need some good advice, I mean, even if things don't work out the way I want, I still want to know what's the best way to go about this situation. I appreciate any sincere advice.

Get a job. Meaning, there IS a job if you can handle it. Any fastfood joint or pizza delivery will take someone. Even if its a few hours a week.

You either need to make some money fast or dont pay anything for now and get a bike or walk. You can always re-establish insurance, and as far as the child you are sponsoring: How can you do this without a job? If this is one of those sponsorships of children in another part of the country where you pledge to give each month, stop for now. Let them know you are in no position to send more. They can not make you as it is a donation and the organization will take up where you let off.
Now if this child was a relative, or close to you by all means work out a way to get the money so that child is not disappointed. A child does not understand: I have no job.

The main thing you need is a job for now just to get your feet off the ground. Work on it. There are many jobs that are easy to do that you can get into like Fast Food or Cleaning. Dont let pride stand in the way when you need money. Get any job that is legal and you can get into easily. Then later always be thinking about how you can move up. That is imperitive. Work out a plan and do it.
Good Luck

First off you have to drop the sponsoring of a child. If you don't have money to give they don't want your money to begin with. You can always help out with that again when you do have money. Most importantly you need to pay your auto insurance. If you can't pay this then find someone to borrow money from like a relative. There are also small ways to make money such as donating plasma. This can give you $50 a week just by going twice. A lot of places even offer a $10 bonus if it's your first time. That means you could have $60 by next week. You could also do small chores for people such as mowing their lawn, shoveling snow, etc. that could give you enough cash to get buy. As far as a job goes you can always work a not so great job like McDonald's which is always hiring until you find what you are looking for. You can also go to temp-hire agencies that will find you work that can last anywhere from days-years.

I agree with Girly Girl, I think you should drop the sponsoring of a child. That is a great and generous thing for you to want to do but if you can't even afford to pay your bills right now you should wait on being generous to others until you are able to fully take care of yourself. Also, you could talk to a personal banker at your bank and ask them to stop the transfer from your checking to savings just for this month. Most bankers will be very understanding and can probably help you. As for the car insurance you can also probably ask them to let you make a late payment without penalty for this one time. I have had to do that before, I have progressive and they let me make the payment late- at any time that month- and I wasn't penalized at all, so if you have a good record with your insurance of always paying on time they might be able to help you out. But aside from all that you should get a job!! I know you say you are "tirelessly searching" but that only means you are searching for a job you want. And with your situation right now, as unfortunate as it may be, you need to look for a job you need rather than one you want. You can work at a fast food restaurant (I know that sucks but it is an option), you could work at a grocery store as a bagger, stock boy anything! Macys is always hiring in my area and even if you don't have any customer service experience they will probably like you if you have a good nice personality during your interview and look nice for work. Just go literally anywhere- places you wouldn't think of too! If you don't want to work with customers try somewhere like Gap- they hire people to come in at night to clean and to put out new shipments, Anthropologie also does this. There is a job out there for you! Just try to suck it up during this hard time and get a job you need rather than one you want. Then when you have a job you need keep looking for one you want and when that one come along quit the job you don't like. Good luck with everything!

You will have to be honest with them and yourself there are so many jobs available no matter what you might have to do - even if you are hoping and looking for a better job - anything is going to be helpful right now - You really can't borrow money with out a job - You might need to ask family and friends for help since it's a right now situation

Keep looking for a job and just pay double the bills next month. It takes more than one missed payment for insurance to lapse or phones to get shut off.
