I did the Clomid for 6 months with hcg injections on my ovulation date. No luck. I know that the a/i is suposed to be my next step, but insurance is over the limit on infertility, so I have to go to my gyne, so I was wondering if anyone knows or thinks they may know what they are going to suggest. I just wanted to be a little prepared for what they will suggest. I am thinking it will be the injectible ovulation meds, but not really sure!

I have been to a reproductive endocrinoligist for 7 months of treatment, my husband was tested and passed w/ flying colors, and I did have the hsg (or whatever that was called) where they see if your tubes are blocked, and they were both 100% open. Our insurance only covered so much $ in infertility, so that is why I am going to my gyne now.

You will need more lab work & test done on you and your spouse. If your with your GYN, you should go and seek an Infertility Specialist because they have certain test that are different than what an GYN would suggest and more than likely they would suggest that you need to see an Infertility specialist as well. Look up your insurance and see what is cover such as medication, IUI(insemation), and IVF, Majority of insurance don't cover infertility cost but hopefuly your insurance does cover some because it can be costly especially the medication. But some test that they should suggest are to see if your tubes are blocked, have his sperm counted and see how their mobility is. You can also do chromosome testing on you guys to see if there is anything attached that might hender your from conceiving. Injectables seem like it would be your next move.
Good luck to you!

Have they tested you partner to see if his solders are marching? My Dr. told me the next step if clomid does not work for me is injections. But I have already Femara which is another oral ovulation medication. Maybe your Dr. should try it.
My Dr. also said they might have to test and see if my Fallopian tubes are blocked. Blocked Fallopian tubes is a cause of most women's infertility.

I think your problem is your putting to much time and money into trying to have a baby. Maybe you need to take a vacation or do something other than gettting injections. Take your mind off of wanting a baby and maybe it would happen. The problem is that you want one to bad and its not happening I dont care how much money you spend trying to conceive if God is not ready for you to become pregnant its not going to happen and if you want one that bad adopt its kids that need love.
