Stress can cause a whole slew of things. ie. missed or irregular periods, weight loss or gain, severe mood swings, depression. The list goes on and on.
What I find works for me is to take a walk, preferably in a wooded area or park somewhere quiet. I also like to listen to classical music.
If the stress is really bad there are some vitamins that help as well your local pharmacy or health food store should be able to reccommend something.
Don't give up, it is hard but it pays off in the end. Just keep reminding yourself that you can do it. Good Luck!

In addition to the period issue stress can also make you more prone to colds and infections because of the immune system being compromised.

yes, stress can cause that, and it also causes high blood pressure, headaches, hair loss, weight loss, insomnia, .. etc... and everyone of these have other effects.... stress is the cause of many, many disorders. Keep working on your qualification... one day you'll be happy you did it and you will know you can do whatever you really want to.
