Priests are required to stay celibate through out there Priesthood. This can be a challenge for them, because of hormones, and temptations of this world. These priests don't want people to know that they want to have sexual relations, so they prey on the innocent children. Some priests even become homosexuals with other Priests. They can't leave their homes, so they do what ever is convenient to them. I am not condoning what they do, but we need to understand what the reasons are for their behaviors.
In the Bible times Priest were aloud to marry, and have children. Why has this changed through the years? These priest were just to keep clean ceremonially, and follow the laws to the letter. This way they could stay a Priest. Also because they were an example to the others. God never said in the Bible that Priest, or other worshipers of him had to remain celebate. They just needed to be married before having sex.
Some times we expect to much of these imperfect people. Yet, we are enjoying being married, and have children.
There is also someone out their who influences these Priests, this is God's opposer Satan the Devil. He knows the heart Condition of these Priests, as well as others. He uses our weakness against us. If these Priest have a weak heart, then they can be easily swayed by temptation.
Many of these Priest sadly teach their own beliefs, and don't follow the Bible to the core. I stick to my religion, where Bible reading, and teaching is a must for spiritual survival. As well as obedience to God. We have Elders who answer to Jesus for their behaviors. They must be of clean standing and have proven themselves. They live normal lives as all of us. This is what was created in the first place, by God.
Marriage, and family.
Parents need to teach their children to talk to them about anything. Even sex. This way they will not be caught off guard, or abused. Thus, they will speak out, right away, if someone is hurting them. Plus, don't just trust anyone with the life of your precious child. Protect them from preditors, and wolves in sheep like clothing.

They're never allowed to marry. Nature takes over. And then generation after generation are pushed into the priesthood. Also, being a priest isn't as noble, or profitable, as it may have once been. So who's left? Pedophiles and homosexuals that have spent a lifetime surpressing their feelings.

They're not supposed to be role models.. I just look at them as people who preach God's word.. other than that I wouldn't care less.. but what does make me mad is the fact that they take advantage of these innocent children and get away with so much.. I blame society for this, we need to be aware of things like this instead of worrying about other things that don't even matter.. who cares if Britney Spears shaves her head.. what we need to do is take care of our own!

Ok, any organization that says men can not have wives, and therefore can not have sex is bound to create some kinds of monsters like this. It's just like prison.
Also, I do believe there was a trend for men to chose the priesthood as a calling for this reason...for some it was premeditation.
Sexual perverts like this are predators and KNOW how to play this game, know where to find their victims.

ahh please there are molestors everywhere...not just priests....you might have family members who are molestors
