I'm one day late for my period and tested positive using EPT. I'd like to make sure I'm really pregnant before I make an appointment with the doctor. When is the best time (how many days from now) to do the test again?

You could take another test whenever you feel. If you have already missed your period you should have enough hcg level for any test to come back positive. I haven't heard of false (+) tests, false(-) yes. So if one came back (+) then I'm sure you really are pregnant. Congratulations!

I know its easier said than done, but try to prolong doing another test, because if you see your doctor at this stage, he will only presume that its a delayed menstrual cycle. wait until your period would be coming to an end, then make an appointment,because its better to get early diagnosis of pregnancy.

Home tests these days are pretty accurate. I would assume you are prego and call the doctor. It will be weeks before they take you in anyway.....and in a few days you can take another test to reassure yourself.
