Im just curious to hear your opinions:
When do you think I might start my first period?
Well Im 12 years old soon to be 13.
I have had discharge for about 7 months
I have had breast buds for 2 years
I have had pubic and underarm hair for 3 years
I have wider hips
What do you think.
Also If you want would you post what your first period story was?

Ya I dont Know when my mom got hers and I cant ask her cuz she isnt home sooo...but I do know That her cousin/bffl got hers when she was 12 and so did her lil sister

Hey girl! It seems like you should be ready to get your period, but dont worry if you're not, you will at some point, it's different for EVERYONE. Check out the following sites. Oh and when I first got my period(11) my mom got so excited, she said congratulations and gave me candies. HAHAHA i was definitly happy to get the candies but felt weird because i wondered why it's such a big deal. Dont worry, your period will come in the right time cause everyone's doesnt come at the same time. I felt confused when I didnt get it when I felt like I should too but then eventually at the age of 11 I got it. Now i'm 16. Hope these informations help!

i started when i was 15 towards the end of 9th grade. i was very active in sports which can make you start later and/or alter your period cycles. a week before i started for the very first time i had bad cramps and felt a little sick to my stomach. i thought it was because i had been doing so many situps and crunches, but a week later i started. every person is different, though. keep some pads or tampons handy just incase you have a surprise at school or in a public area. best of luck with it sweetie!

Hey there! I was 16 when I got my first period, I had the worst cramps ever and than when my mom showed me the pad I had to wear I thought I wanted to die!! Those pads they made back in the '80's were super huge!!! Make sure you learn how to use a tampon, they make your period much much easier to deal with. They are tricky at first though, so don't give up!!!
I would guess you are going to be getting your period soon but who knows!! Good luck!!

Well, because of your age your period could be coming at any time.
My first period started in the middle of the nite while I was trying to sleep. I was 13. All I know was that I was trying to sleep and I felt something wet going on in my panties. When I checked my panties I let my mom know that I started and I stayed home from school that day.

but you have till teh age of 16 / 19 so try not too panic
my period i was 12 and i really didnt have any idea it was going to start, i went to the bathroom and notice the smallest of blood marks, so i put a pad on told my mom and that was that i started from there they were really light to begin with and not very regular but they settle and can have different flows

Well first off each girl/woman is different. I got my period when I was 11. When did your mom get hers? You might get a better idea if you know about your family history. It is OK. I had a friend that didn't get hers till she was 16. Relax it will come when it comes.

it is just a phase trust me im 12 and i started las summer and i have already been regulated scince i first started and normaly people arnt but thats ok. if you carry a purse then you should carry pads in there or tampons but at firs starting you should use pads. at school always keep an extera pair of pants in your locker. i hope i could help you. i this dont help ask your mom or a teacher for some advice. good luck.

Its different for everyone, i got mine when i was 11 but most of my cousins got it when they where 15, you will probably get your period soon if all of that has been hapening to you. The noramal age to get it is 12-13.

well every girl is different so its hard to tell u when u will have your first period. i had my first period when i was 12 years old. and it sounds to me like u may be getting yours soon...no more than a year or two away.

well from the sounds of it pretty soon, but some people dont start until there like 16 or 17 so best of luck
