You dig a hole about 1 foot deep. Pour in a little water. Put Rose bush into the hole and fill it in.

Roses are about one of the easiest flowers to grow. They don't need a lot of watering . Just a little water in prolonged hot weather. And a little rose food now and again

Then Prune it take about a Foot Off it above a growing Bud. Keep doing that Year after Year and you will have Beautiful Roses. Dont forget to ask the man at the Garden Centre which Rose has the Nicest smell and ask about Controling Black Spot and Other Diseases and Bob is youre Uncle as they say. Watch out for the Thorns. Purchase your rose with no buds or blooms on it. Take it home and soak it in a bucket of water for a couple of days to loosen the root ball and to give it moisture. Dig the hole about 2 inches larger and than the size of the root ball, and deep enough that the root ball is submerged up to the little nub on the trunk of the rose. Before you plant it put a good helping of compost or rose food in the bottom of the hole. Then place the rose, then begin backfilling around it, pressing the soil down to remove air pockets. Leave a little trench around the base of the rose bush. If the weather is still chilly cover the rose with straw or pine needles to protect it. Give it a good watering a couple of times a week and spray it with insecticidal soap to prevent mold and bugs. Good luck.

simple, try Royal William or Deep Secret.

If your new, buy a potted one. Dig a hole the depth of the pot plus half again. and twice the width.

Gently remove the plant over the hole, plant the rose so that the crown (the top of the rose where the branches are) so the are just bellow soil level, fill in hole and firm in soil around plant.

A hand full of grow-more fertiliser brushed in around the hole you have just made and water in.

Wait till the buds develop before using any futher fertiliser, I use tomato food for nearly everything,

best of luck

Go to the nearest garden centre and tell them what you want - perfume, soil type, etc. You would prefer a hybrid tea rose, because they have all the best scents. A red one, because the scent is stronger. Then they will tell you how to plant it with a bit of general purpose or rose compost. Do it right, and you will have lovely roses to cut and put indoors too. HTH LOL

Anyone can grow a rosebush! all you need is plenty of sunshine, plenty of water, clipping of dead or split branches or buds and time to spend just watching them grow. I have a rose bush that grows roses 8 inches in diameter. the biggest darn things I ever saw and they are pink and deep red all in the same rose.

My Grandmother always put banana peelings around her roses...from my experience...this combined with sandy soil was my best results. They like lots of sun, and it is even better if you can plant them near an ant hill or even in the ant hill...just don't get bit.
