I am having bachelor party in late April and a small group of my friends and I want to go someplace. We have gone on a ton of long weekend trips together over the past 7-8 years and would like to go someplace we have not been too (we went to Vegas, Miami, Boston, Philly, Montreol).
We live in NY (in or just outside the city).
Well, what is the nightlife like there?
How about Golf courses?
We want to be able to get loaded and have a good time. Strip joints are old and not important.

Dallas is awesome - these people who say it isn't must never leave their houses or something. Book a room for you and the guys at the W Hotel or the Hotel ZaZa. Spend one evening at a Mavericks game at the American Airlines Center and follow that up with drinks at Ghostbar (in the W Hotel) or Obar (downtown), and then the other night, have a nice dinner out somewhere (I recommend III Forks in North Dallas for the perfect steak, or one of the many great Mexican restaurants in town) and go have cocktails and cigars at the Urban Oasis bar in the Hotel ZaZa. You'll thank me.

Sooner and Pat Reedy are right about where to go. As for golf I recommend Heritage Ranch (which is between Dallas and Ft Worth), Ceder Crest (near downtown, and recently redone, 1800 Southerland Ave) and Tension Park (3501 Samuell Blvd).

I agree with the one above. Greenville Ave (Upper and Lower) is another option, it more of the college crowd
is probably the best place. all the bars are in walking distance.
Its a great street for bar hopping all night long.

I just went to Dallas last weekend.and i loved it.i live in scottsdale and i think Dallas has better nightlife. Go and have fun.you will love it.Go to W hotel ghost bar,zsa zsa hotel has a nice club or lounge whatever you call it.excellent restaurants.I cant wait to go back.

do not have your bachelor party in dallas...i live here. moved from nm but honestly, it's not that different! i have to agree with the other guy...if you're not a cowboy and you're not gay, stay away. you should hit vegas again...my favorite place to migrate to! i've never had so much fun in any other place! talk about getting loaded in a place that never shuts down. ever!
