Aren't they at least capable of leaping?

Good question. The answer is "I Don't Know"but, will be interested to see the other responses.I'm a nature buff & you'd think I'd know this one. I do know that Black Bears climb trees.Actualy I think they would be to heavy to leap.

Of course they do. The only animal that can never leap is an elephant.

Only when they are treally happy, like after eating a bunch of campers or something.
