all of you that are discussing possible replacements should realize that he will probably be back in baltimore with a new contract and this move was a way to avoid paying him a $5 million roster bonus...chances are he will be back and i think he will be much more productive than last year

He was waaay past his prime, and he just cost way too much to keep on the team. If they are smart, they'll look to find someone to complement Anderson, and switch to a split back system. That would give McNair more options, and would capitalize on his versatility.
