Once upon a time I would and could be the life of the party. Now, on the rare occasions that I do attend parties, I prefer to sit and chat in the corner with a select few.

As a rule though, I LOATHE parties and avoid them whenever possible.

Hate the things, I went to a couple in 2004, both were family do's a week apart. I haven't been to a non-fami ... hang on, apart from those two, I haven't been to a single party (you can't call the works ones parties, they're just for the residents and I consider them to be part of their care so I put up and shut up) for over a decade.

In fact. When Sunderland won the cup in 1973 and my Mam organised the street party. They couldn't drag me outside to endure it so Dad and I (they weren't prepared to leave a seven year old bairn alone in the house for hours) watched telly all day - I liked that.

When I was about 14, Mam was sick of me not wanting a birthday party so she told me I was having one and I was to go and invite everyone in the Square. I did as I was told but I also added that they didn't have to come. Three did; there was no music, no games, no presents. There was food but that was only because Mumsy had baked and they knew she would - that was the only reason they'd come in the first place, her baking was famous. Anyway, after they'd eaten I told them they could go.

I've never seen the point of parties, or holidays. Apart from going to visit my sister in Kent for 36 hours so I could attend her 25th anniversary meal (a party and it took a lot of ... persuading .. to actually get me there); I haven't been on holiday for over a decade either.

Don't mention Christmas, I don't put decorations up and that's the only time I visit my brother (less than ten miles away from me), and then he has to come in the car for me to make sure I get there.

But really, I'm a very jolly and popular person.

I love parties, but I'm never the life and soul. I do sit and chat in the corner :) and drink and drink and drink!

This all depends on what and how much I have had to drink or not drink! Usually I am the life and the funny person with no shame, I am the loud tell it like it is kinda person, I am the hook up helper, I always introduce my friends to each other. I get things going when they are dull and dead, I come up with the crazy party games and I play beer pong and quarters......I love parties and just being me!

That really depends on the party; since i am a drummer i usually am the "performer" of the party but if i can get enough dose of vodka and bullcrap paris hilton fashion makeup talks i can be the reaper of the party! :)
