Proportional (to each other), because corresponding sides of similar polygons maintain a standard ratio, which means that every side of each of the polygons can find its multiple by a constant positive number l side in the other polygon.
Can you say that two sides are similar? I do not think so.
Being parallel or congruent depends on the relative position of the polygons. It is nor related to similarity.

The corresponding sides are similar, and they will be to the same proportion that the other sides are to the other polygon

Similar polygons are shapes that look very similar (hence the name), but are different sizes. Here is an example of similar triangles that might help you. A triangle that has sides measuring 3ft., 4ft. and 5ft. is similar to a triangle that has sides of 6ft., 8ft. and 10ft.

they are proportional. similar refers to shapes that have the same angles but the ratio of the sides are diferent. but since they have the same angles the sides have to be proportional to each other.
