Is your husband a good husband? If so, why does it matter for you to get a 2 carat diamond?? I don't get our society, they put so much effort in the ring and not in the marriage. What matters most, a man that is faithful, adores you, respects you, or a huge diamond ring, but cheats on you, and tries to buy you with money?? The symbol of the ring is "no beginning no end" in the marriage; not how much bigger is my ring than so in so down the street.

Make sure you get the most flashy ring you can find....
I really wouldn't go through with this deal. It seems like he is taking advantage of the deal. If the dogs are tearing up so much of your property, I'm sure it would be cheaper to ditch the dogs and buy your own ring rather than replacing all of you personal belongings repeatedly.

Is it worth it to YOU?
I would ditch the dogs, and buy my own ring. What do dogs have to do with rings anyway? You should take care of the dogs because you love your husband and want him to be happy, not for some stupid ring.

You made a commitment to these dogs so follow through. Forget the diamond and bring them to obedience school. They will give you a lot more happiness than a ring.

it's definitely not worth it.... no ring would be worth that amount of hassle. take the promise of the sparkly stone out of the equasion and would you still be with the guy??
if yes, then you'll have to put up with his dogs... but try bargaining for a 4 carat!!

That's actually a pretty rotten deal. Provide a service for a gift?
Uh-uh. Why don't you get the gift anyways, and keep your own engagement ring, and pass it on to whomever YOU wnat to give it to when you are ready.
It's not worth it. Period.

take your dog for a basic dog training.... and get lots of raw hide bones.... i had a few dogs that did this and when they got trained they stopped.. along with the bones, the dogs need a daily walk to get out some built up energy... dog training books really help also....good luck
keep the ring deal...lol

Those dogs need obedience school, it is absolutely unacceptable that they have trashed the house so bad that you even need to make this decison.
I think you know the answer to your question already - you need to lay down the law and not let your dogs or husband walk all over you.
