Actually Rudy has always been pretty popular and running a city like NY is on par with being a Governor for a lot of states.
He is popular because he is a leader. A coalition builder. He was able to work across party lines in NY. Thats what this country really needs right now. Not a divider like Sen Clinton.

I haven't a clue because he ordered to have the remains of the WTC hauled off into trucks to be shipped to Asia to be melted down. FACT!! He used to be a city prosecuter so he should know a thing or two about preserving evidence. In this case, he got rid of it as quickly as possible. I can't believe people think that 19terrorists who can't even fly Cessna's were able to fly airliners into their destined targets with precission. Let alone 7 are still alive and well living in the middle east. They've been interviewed by the BBC and the Guardian(paper in the UK). Oh well, some will sleep, others will ask questions and demand answers.

It's because of his fiscal responibility and the balancing of budgets in NY and the emergency plans that he put in place and executed (quite well I might add).....not that I am voting for him , but try doing some research before opening that pie hole!
