Nothing is shown on the screen.
Tested Graphics card & monitor - both work
Any ideas?

first off check the monitor connection, check that ur monitor power button is on, if everything is good then see if the buttons of menu options on monitor work and if monitor is on then u will see the menu on the screen and u can make the configurations. May bhe brightness is down to minimum or something. See if that works

This would be my next step, if you already have it apart, first check the cable's connections, then:

Make sure your internal speaker is hooked up, and if there isn't one, hook up most any little speaker to the wires (you may need to check the mobo's manual to figure this out).

While you have the PC apart and the mobo manual out, see if it lists error codes and if it doesn't, see if you can find the BIOS version.

Then, when you boot, listen carefully to see if it beeps.
If it does, you'll need to find (you can do this online via google) the error code charts via the BIOS version, or if your mobo's manual has it.

If there are no beeps, it would appear everything's ok, something wrong with the cable perhaps?
