recoil stuck on kohler?

when i pull on the pull start on my engine, it doesn't move. can it be the flywheel. If so how do you remove it.

Could be a lot of things of coarse. First remove spark plug and try turning the engine over. If this engine is on a mower try turning the blade or pulley. If it is on a go cart or anything with a clutch make sure the clutch is disengaged. I would try these then start tearing the engine down, use a book or take to repair shop if you don't think you can handle the job.
