BY THE WAY , I AM TALKING ABOUT MAKING THEM INTO A HEDGE FOR PRIVACY.

THERE IS 50 FEET OF DISTANCE AND I WAS TOLD TO PLANT THEM 4-5 FEET APART.

11 plants - at 5 feet apart - will cover 50 feet of ground

At 5' apart you will need 11 plants

you would need 25 but they grow big and dont grow fast and are prone to disease and pine bettles and are very expensive .you never said where you live also plus need to think about power lines and septic line also in order to make a fence you will have to stager them thats why you will need 25 they cant be planted side beside they will go through a heat if you wont a fence that is cheap and grows fast try emerald greens
