Is it safe to open prozac capsules?

I take prozac 20mg capsules.. and I just can't swallow..

Is it safe to open the capsule and dump it in some water and drink it?

We called the pharmacist to see if my daughter could open her antibiotic capsules and mix them with water. He said that she could--but not to mix them with juice--or anything other than water.
