Not much like an African lion.

Mountain lions, also known as pumas or cougars, look like large, muscular domestic cats, but with rounder ears, a relatively smaller head, and a longer muzzle. They do not have manes like African lions. Their coats are short and usually tan over most of the animals body. They can be up to 8 feet long and 150 lbs.
