Why not just do the work? Teacher's have heard it all and almost always see through the story. I'd say your only chance is if this is an extremely rare occurance for you. In that case, your teacher might be willing to cut you a break. However, I'd rather hear and honest, "I left it at school" than some elaborate, obvious lie.

"OMG i left it at home and did it all"
"Can i please bring it in tomorrow for like half credit? pleaseee?"

ohh er just say i had a really bad headache when you were explaining it and you didnt want to ask to go to the nurse so you sat there but can you help me real quick with itt? and i will do it tonight for homework

You had a terrible migraine and went to sleep all night. You had a cold cloth over your head....laid in the dark and everything. I am a teacher and would understand that.
