Also, does anyone know of a list of universities that accepts applicants with a GED, and the minimum score required?

I'm not looking for advice, ("Go to a community college first") so please don't answer my question with that. Anyone who has information regarding my question, I thank you!! :o)

Cal States and UCs take kids with just a GED.

To pass the GED Test in California, examinees must:

1. Receive a standard score of at least 410 on each of the five GED subtests, and
2. Earn an average standard score of 450 or higher.

AZ is the same, except they also add that you need a cumulative total of 2250 for all the sections.

All this does is fulfill the high school diploma part of the admissions requirement.

To get into the CA state schools, you still need to fulfill course requirements. The UCs have a GPA requirement as well (3.0). People will tell you to go to community college first because most people who are asking this question don't meet the minimum qualifications for the state schools beyond the community college level. You have to remember, community colleges ARE state schools too.

Most universities will accept a GED. I have never seen an actual 'minimum GED score' listed on a college's admissions site. Some just take it on a case-by-case basis, and some also require standardized test scores (ACT/SAT), essay, and/or placement exam. Most of which will depend on the selectivity of the school.
