Inviting another person to study who is SURE to be invested in what the class communicates WILL help you stay focused.
A classmate, a paid tutor, or any other party interested in staying focused WILL help you stay focused too...!
***WARNING*** a friend or relative who is NOT invested in being focused will make it HARDER for you to stay focused :)

If you cant find someone to help motivate you, cultivate your OWN motivation and focus:

Go into each session with an alotted amount of time ( 1.5 hrs, 2hrs, etc) Then stay PRESENT for that amount of time... Having a goal of exactly how long you should be focused will help you to realize your potential to be active in your own education!

If you find yourself zoning out (we've all done it) then take a break!
Stand up, take deep breaths, get a quick drink of water, clear your head of stress in an appropriate way. Give yourself two to three mins of break with the understanding that this is to ENCOURAGE your stamina for focus...

Remember being "focused" is all in your head! It's up to you to keep yourself on track and to cultivate your learning potential! Your individual learning is a chance to really communicate and "teach" yourself!

Try talking out loud when you study... No, SERIOUSLY, it works!
Dont be embarrased to jot down notes or pictures of what you or your lesson are saying.

One last thing...This class you are taking now is NOT an end in itself. Try to understand that what you learn in this class WILL affect you holistically and for the long term.

Understand that the purpose of this class is not "just to pass". The purpose of the class is to help you to create deeper frameworks of understanding you will use your whole life from now on. Whatever you learn now will continue to affect you later in life, so make the best of your opportunity to be a sponge now, and take in ALL that you can! Best wishes to you :)
