I need some good legal advice!!!!!!!?

I lost both of my parents one right after another to drugs and suicide and all of the things that were left at the estate were supposed to be liquadated and some divided amongst myself and my step-sister.But i was 8 mos pregnant at the time with my first son and living 15 hours away,wasn;t able to do or be there as much as i could.So n/e way my step-sister is not very friendly and never really had a close relation ship with our parents and she ended up stealing everything belonging to both my biological mother and her father,including an entire locker filled with my personal belongs and my parents lstorage locker along with everything.The police couldn;t help me because there were no outstanding wittnesses to see her or that will come forward to get her charged and i have not dealt with legal aid or n/e thing so im kida lost.All that was left was my fathers wishes in his own made will as to what he wanted to be done and my step-sister was entitled to her share of money and memmorabilai

Just about the only thing you can do here is sue her in small claims court but this wont be easy. You have to prove that she is in possession of said items and that they were willed to you but she took them. It basically comes down to your word against hers, unless you have the proof she has them. Now she could hide them or deny ever having possession of them and theres nothing you or the courts could do. This definitely wont be easy in court. The police cant help you because you cant prove to them that she took the said items illegally and that she actually has current possession of them and neither the courts or the police can work on hearsay. It sounds like you'll have to sue your step-sister, but it may not be worth the time or money, especially because regardless of what you get for a judgment, if she hasn't got any assets, you can't get anything out of her. You won't get legal aid on this and a lawyer probably won't take it on a percentage (contingency) basis because it sounds like too risky a case.

I can't tell from your question, BUT it may be a situation where your step-sister stole from your father's estate, which means the estate will have the right to sue her. Again, it may not be worth the money.
