If a player makes his ground going for a quick single but the fielder has broken the stumps and the ball has gone through for possible over throws and the batsmen decide to come back for a 2nd run but this time a fielder hits the now broken stumps with the batsman out of his crease, will the batsman be giving out.

Pheasant Plucker is right - you can't be run out on the second run (with the wickets already broken) unless one of the fielding side gets to the stumps with the ball in hand and removes a stump from the ground and touches it with the ball.

I once played in a game where the wicket keeper did this when stumping a guy - he was in when the keeper first removed the bails but overbalanced during the appeal and was stumped by the keeper removing a stump as described above...

If the stump is broken already, then the next time keeper or the fielders of the Fielding side would have to take the stump out in their hand in order to run them out. That's the rule.

ofcourse he will be given out, otherwise theres no end to how many the batsmen gonna run..wats wrong with people who reckon its not possible. imagine if both the bails are broken, now the batsmen are gonna run all day cause you can't run them out .
