My daughter won't wash.?

No matter how much I try to stress it to her, my 11 yo daughter won't wash her privates. I also don't think she wipes herself after going to the bathroom. Her privates always smell, and there is always a skid mark in her underwear. I just can't make her understand the concept of hygiene. What can I do or say to make this get through to her?

Let her know that if she is going to behave like a baby, then she will need to sit in a bath every night like a baby to make sure her butt is clean. Not in a humiliating way, just matter of factly. It is unhealthy to not wipe, so she needs to soak her butt every day.

I would recommend talking with her to find out why she won't wash her privates. As the last poster said there could be something more to this going on as to why she won't. I would also recommend talking to her pediatrician to see what they suggest.

tell her that not washing and not wiping herself can cause her to have infections down there, if she still don't wanna listen then u make her sit in the bath and wash herself

However, this may be part of a bigger (emotional) problem, so please talk with your family doctor about your concerns. Please understand that I'm not pointing fingers here when I say that. This is a problem, but it may actually be a symptom of a bigger one, and I know that you're asking because you care.

take her to the doctor, let him/her explain why shee needs to be clean and ask him/her to show her pictures and or information about illnesses related to lack of hygiene.

Tell her if she doesnt do it she could get an infection and get very sick
