I singed on a car note for my soon to be Exhusband. He now lives in another state and has the car with him there. How can I get my name removed from the note? I have no way of contacting my ex to even find out what is going on with the car.

The bank most likely won't allow you to take your name off the bank loan. Why would they want to make fewer people responsible for the loan payments? As long as you're on the note, they can come after you for the payments if your ex fails to pay.

You need to have your lawyer include a requirement that your ex-husband refinance the vehicle within a certain amount of time, or that you get the vehicle.

Your situation is why a lot of people file bankruptcy after divorce. It's the only way to get their finances removed from the ex.

You have to get a release from the bank, along with an agreement by your ex to take sole responsibility for it. If your husband's credit is bad, the bank may refuse to take you off of the note and you'll be just as liable as him for payment.

This should be part of your divorce settlement. Talk to your attorney about it.
