NO CEREAL IN THE BOTTLE!!!!! BAD OLD FASHIONED TRICK!!!!

Babies go through this, see your pediatrician right away. You'll need another person at home, to alternate with in order to sleep, and you do have to.

I wouldn't put the rice cereal either in the bottle. If the baby is old enough for cereal please use a spoon. Continue to burp the baby as you do and maybe you could prop the baby up a little to help keep the milk down.

My first question I would ask to find out why your baby is not sleeping well at night is do you have a good daytime routine? It is important that your baby gets enough sleep during the day and is well rested to be able to have a good nite sleep. If your baby is overtires your baby will wake up often.

It is also normal for babies to wake at night. Has your baby learnt how to fall asleep on it's own or do you have to rock or soothe your baby in order for the baby to sleep. Does your baby have to feed to fall asleep this too could be the reason your baby wakes so often. If your baby falls asleep somewhere and wakes up in another place, your little one is confuse. Just think of yourself. If while you were sleeping someone took you and placed you in the garden. When you woke up you would be confused! If your baby falls asleep and awakes in the same place, the baby will feel more secure!

Good luck and I hope that you catch up on your sleep soon!

If he is waking up and crying in an uncomfortable way, it might be reflux. My son was a horrible sleeper. It got a little better after we found out and started treatment. Rice cereal in a bottle is no longer recommended for most babies. I'd advise against it unless your pedi recommended it. Unfortuatly, some people aren't the best sleepers and your little one might be in that category. Maybe by developing a nice nap time and night time routine, your babe will sleep better. That works well for some.

Sounds a lot like our baby in the beginning. After horrific screaming which had me in tears constantly and barely any sleep (neither the baby nor us) it turns out she had severe acid reflux. She was put on Enfamil Nutramigen (after trying about 3 or 4 different formulas) and was prescribed Axid twice a day. Well, if this wasn't the miracle combination. Our baby was actually happy and not miserable for once and would sleep anywhere from 3-5 hours at night... She was about two or three months at the time.

If your baby is under 4 months then I wouldn't suggest giving him creal. If you give it to him then spoon feed it. Under 4 months of age their little tummies are not able to digest the solids. Putting it in a bottle is not good because it clumps up and usually get stuck in the nipple. Hence , the spiiting up. How do you know its not colic? It kinda sounds like it but is he crying continously for long periods of time? This is defifantely a sign of colic. He may have gas. My son didn't sleep all night till 12 months and was off the bottle. maybe you should have him checked out by the doc.

First of all you should not put cereal in your baby's bottle. Choking can happen. Talk to your baby's pediatrician, ask about the cereal and bottle. How old is your baby? Boy or girl? I've learned that boys have a harder time sleeping than girls do. My baby was spitting up alot too I took her to her Ped and he gave her Zantac, may be that's what your baby needs. However, it's a prescription so please go and see your baby's ped. Take care.

Try changing her milk to a different kind. Don't put any cereal in the milk and see if that helps the baby sleep at night. Try one of the air machines that helps the baby breathe

Depends on how old your baby is. If he is 4 months old give him cereal right before bed and then is formula or breastmilk depending on what you use. This might help.

Give him/her a warm bath before bedtime. I'm not sure what you use, but Aveeno bath products for babies and adults soothe baby, and the smell is relaxing. Bathe him in that then, i'm almost postive your baby will be a better sleeper...
