yea so i dont know what to do i really want to be on the team but i dont want to wear a speedo so what do you think i should do

Do it. I'm on the swim team, and i have to wear a speedo too.

well most teams allow you to wear jammers they are just as tight but down to the knees. And even if you do have to wear a speedo everyother boy on the team will be wearing them so you wont feel so unconfortable.

I dive and trust me if you're on the swim or dive especially not wearing a speedo will get you more crap than wearing one.

Eventually you'll get used to it. Wear one for a while while you're around the other guys on the diving team and you'll see that they findit perfectly normal although it may be a little awkward while diving in competition since everyone is starring at you while you're on the board and performing the dive.

everyone else will be wearing a speedo. dont worry about it. just wear a speedo. since (im guessing) everyone else will be wearing speedos you will be made fun of more if you wear somthing else.

well, i am on the dive team and the reason for wearing speedos is that you can be flexible in the air. if you have regular awim trunks, it will be hard to grab your legs in the air in a picke or tuck position. for a while ny ex boyfriend wore regular trunks and he started to get mad b/c they were getting in the way. to be a diver, you must must must be flexible. if i was you, i would wear them... if you don't you can never be a great diver. you need to be able to grab your legs in a split second..

just wear them, by the time you start diving and all, no one's really gonna care and you won't even notice. would you rather feel comftorable and have sucky dives, or wear a speedo and have great dives? and, i doubt any girls are gonna be watching, so you're safe. =)
