I'm not sure how to deal with her. She wants to be "friends". I don't trust her intentions.

You can never be friends with a control freak. Opening that door is only going to lead to her trying to control you again. Aren't you tired of it yet??? When I divorced, my attorney gave me some real good advice: Leave each other alone and go out and start a new life.

You are split up because it didn't work in marriage. What makes you think it will work as friends ??
You say she controlls you, Why ?? You are yourown person unless you have no spine. If I were you, I'd tell her to piss off and get on with the rest of my life !!!

well first off dont take the crap from her and confront her and tell her look you are not here to be best friends but you will communicate with her if need be kinda like a toleration thing dont be best friends if you dont trust her it will never work out cus it will just turn into she said he said good luck
