Racism is racism, no matter which way it goes. And I see a lot of African Americans belittling Caucasians for no reason. Especially during February, It’s a shame. Why do some blame modern day white people for stuff they had no control over in the 1960’s? And why do some black people grow up with the mentality someone owes them just because they’re black? I understand if someone is clearly a racist and you get upset or whatever, but they are entitled to their opinion and their state of mind. You can try to persuade them but if it doesn’t work; move on, let them live with their misery. But back to reversed racism; some African American, Mexican or anyone of minority (that I’m around) tend to just dislike white people, why?

It shouldn't be called "reverse racism" because that's saying that the only true racism comes from whites. Racism=racism.

unfortunately, it does exist. I think it is totally unfair. Like you said, most Caucasian people alive today had nothing to do with what happened in the 1960's, and none of them had anything to do with slavery.

I hear a lot of minorities call a Caucasian man "white boy". Okay, if a person who is black just happens to be upset at a person who is white, that's their personal problem. They shouldn't come out and say things like, "what's your problem, white boy?". Some people think that makes him pro black, but if a white guy would say, "What's your problem, black man?". All of a sudden he's a racist (which is probably true), but the black guy saying "white boy" is probably racist himself as well. I've seen this happen with other minorities as well.

It's not right. What happened in the past does not give anyone the right to use racism back. That's being a hypocrite. There are white jerks and black jerks. They are also decent white people and decent black people. Let's stop all racism.

Nay. People need to stop putting fancy names on things. Racism is racism. Period. Doesn't matter who you or where you're from. If you generalize, stereotype, or discriminate against anyone, then you are racist. And furthermore, I'm not really sure of exactly what "minority" signifies anymore. Seems to me, all the so-called minorities put together equal a majority. And there are way more non-white people on this planet than there are white people. Maybe everyone needs to repolarize their thinking.

1. the ideology of "reverse racism" is a racist term itself. You are either racist towards a group, or you're not . the term "reverse" assumes one group is superior to another

2. for all those blacks still alive you got spat on trying to attend school, weren't allowed to buy homes, had to go inferior schools, hospitals, etc because they grew up in a time where people at the very least did nothing (which is the worst thing of all, to be indifferent). anyway, these people have the right to be angry, and i won't deny them that.

3. racist people are entitled to their option. but freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from reaction. racists people the right to say that all blacks should die. i then have the right to say i will not fund any programs that you are involved in. i will not attend any places you are at and don't want you to try to intrude in places i am at. etc. the klan can chant all they want, but when they start defacing my property, this is different

4. some people are racist, some are not. it's a human thing

Yay. Discrimination against any race or ethnicity is racism not reverse racism. That word shouldn't be used anymore becuase all races are the same and there is no need for the word 'reverse' there is only racism.

Anyone can be racist.

But sometimes racism can be really dangerous, and sometimes it can be trivial.

This is why white racism against blacks (when many more white people control jobs, housing, etc.) is more damaging than black racism against whites.

Of COURSE there are exceptions, but generally, the power of racism to damage works mostly against non-white people.

True, racism is racism no matter who does it or who it is directed towards. "Reverse racism" describes the oppressed group's racism towards the dominant group; it is considered "reversed" because it is in backlash to the initial racism of the dominant group. It can exist between racial, gender, age, national, cultural or any other sort of groups, and perpetuates the cycle of hate and misunderstanding.

yeah racism is annoying, and the fact that white people always have to be very careful with there words when discussing people of other races because people will always accuse them of being racist is a pain in the butt as well.

I completely agree. Everyone is equal, and NO race should belittle another, no matter who the minority is. I have noticed that people think it is fine to pick on whites, but much worse to pick on anyone else. NO racism is ok.

Racism refers to POWER and REPRESENTATION in government. The prejudices people have against other ethnicities is not racism.
