Because, without someone you love, you feel empty. Feeling empty will leave you feeling depressed and you become unproductive. Humans were created to be productive beings for happiness to be a reality. Without someone to love, you could exist, but you could not live.

Of course you can, otherwise the world would be full of the corpses of the unrequited. Such emotionally charged platitudes will not help you to understand love.
I suggest you strip away the layers of social conditioning and romance movies etc so that you can fully answer your own question. Nobody can do this for you.

living without someone you love IS veryyy very hard! u might want to try to find someone else you like and it will keep him off your mind. maybe you will find that you like him better. if not just let your friends take his place.
