I am a very pretty girl but I am not extremely tall. I know that I could never be a runway model because of my height. But can a shorter girl be a model for other things- like in a magazine ad or anything else?

I am not an expert at all, but I think your best bet would be for commercials. And thats if you get lucky. Height is extremely important...in all areas including commercials. But I think thats where they would be the most relaxed about it. I hope you make it!

Actually, tall models are very "in". Of course, there is no telling in whether or not you could or could not be a model. Try watching "America's Next Top Model" for tips, and other things. There are many different types of models, hand models, feet, legs, arms, neck, lips, eyes, teeth, face, hair, runway...etc. Just look at magazines!

Sure.

Haven't you ever seen those magazines where they only show the face of the model?

You can't tell how tall she is when the photo is only of his or her face.

For commercial and print modeling, they still prefer somewhat tall girls, usually 5'6 or so.
