My God you are an idiot. Harriet Miers, spelled M-I-E-R-S is not remotely Jewish. She is an evangelical Christian, just like everyone else Bush knows and talks to. The Jewish surname is spelled M-Y-E-R-S.

Hmm...Didn't know she was Jewish and I really could care less, I bet President Bush picked her because he knew she would be a good judge. Now we will never know how she would do as a judge.

I believe he was trying to pick someone who was closely connected to his legal staff. I really doubt that her religion played into that because Republicans don't catagorize people except at how well they do their job.
Looking at race, gender, and religion is a Democrat trick.
