I have used Limewire for over 2 years! Its' the best as far as I am concerned when it comes to the extensive downloads that are available! I have tried others but none of them top Limewire!!

i'm sorry to say that limewire is actually the best of the free downloading programs... DO NOT do KAZZA that program brings in virius that take FOREVER to get rid of... also bearshare is horrible... there is another one that is good.. it starts with an A... im sorry i cant remember. but your best bet if you want to stay away from viriuses is iTunes! only 99 cents per song.. not bad.

I see that nobody has suggested a DC client. IMHO it is better than all that have been suggested as there are moderators and operators who watch over hat ppl share so as not to get viruses and unwanted fake porn and the likes.....It also has a chat area where ppl can answer your questions if you have any trouble. Google "StrongDC++" or "ApexDC++" W/O the quotes

the only site i ever use now and i have tried several is ares its free easy to use and no viruses millions of singles to choose from but the choice must be yours i can only advise good luck

definitely EMULE.
go to emule-project.net and download version 0.47c. it fairly simple to use once its set up.
if you have any problems mail me and i can help. you can download videos, music, software, chat on there and get help in the help channels.

I found ares quite good...lots of porn on it, too, but avoid that and you can get a good selection of tracks....do a search for ares and find it from there.
