Personally, I do not want to entertain the thought that I would have to go through all this again.

I think that Buddhists actually desire to make enough progress so that they won't have to come back again.

Houses are symbols of your psyche, in dreams.
It is very common to wander around or explore a house, with all its rooms, that you have never actually seen. I can't count how many times I have walked around different houses; must be 50,000 + times , easily.

I do believe in reincarnation, but not the kind where you live a different life after you die. Dreams often are like that, where you see something that is very familiar to you in the dream, but you know you've never seen it before when you wake up. I've had those kinds of dreams before. It may be that God is trying to tell you something through the dream. That still happens, you know. It wasn't just back in the Bible times. (I know some people who have had God's will revealed in their dreams. And the stuff happened, too. Those kinds of dreams aren't always direct, though. There often is a hidden message or meaning.)

Are you male or female ? freud would say a house signified a female ! I'm not a fan of freud's dream interpratation ! I often dream of houses, some houses i know, some |i don't often my own house with weird changes. Generally I would say the house represents your 'life' i.e. is the house in order ? is there a good feeling or are ther problem areas ? stairs are very important - up - ascending is good, down is bad..
I think dreams are a mixture of present influences, psychological state and very likely a little of the unknown, future, past.....

The concept of reincarnation seems to offer one of the most attractive explanations of humanity’s origin and destiny. It is accepted not only by adherents of Eastern religions or New Age spirituality, but also by many who don’t share such esoteric interests and convictions. To know that you lived many lives before this one and that there are many more to come is a very attractive perspective from which to judge the meaning of life. On the one hand, reincarnation is a source of great comfort, especially for those who seek liberation on the exclusive basis of their inner resources. It gives assurance for continuing one’s existence in further lives and thus having a renewed chance to attain liberation. On the other hand, reincarnation is a way of rejecting the monotheistic teaching of the final judgment by a holy God, with the possible result of being eternally condemned to suffer in hell. Another major reason for accepting reincarnation by so many people today is that it seems to explain the differences that exist among people. Some are healthy, others are tormented their whole life by physical handicaps. Some are rich, others at the brink of starvation. Some have success without being religious; others are constant losers, despite their religious dedication. Eastern religions explain these differences as a result of previous lives, good or bad, which bear their fruits in the present one through the action of karma. Therefore reincarnation seems to be a perfect way of punishing or rewarding one’s deeds, without the need of accepting a personal God as Ultimate Reality.

I do. Life is a journey and growth of the soul is an experiential consequence. Looking at medical accounts there are plenty of recorded incidents of patients being able to recall events when they were in theatre when there is absolutely no way that they were conscious. I know of one example where a lady was having a brain tumour removed - its was very deep and she had a 5% chance of survival. In order to get at the tumour they had to cool her brain down and then drain it of blood for dsome 45 minutes - she survived and was able to recount a particular event and exchanges from within the operating theatre which did occur and happened when her brain was essentially dead.

There are also many examples of children coming back with memories of past lives. Many of these are nonesense (there's a large incidence of this in Isreali children) but in India (which does have a strong religious leaning towards reincarnation) there are examples of children coming back and being able to give vivid accounts of previous life events - one I'm aware of relates to a child who claimed that he had lived in a nearby village, that he'd been married and had children. He was taken to the village found his wife, knew pet name for her and intimate details that were extremely private and declared that he had been murdered for his money by a couple of men in the village - these men also existed, where doing remarkably well for themselves and promptly fled.

Hindu belief is that life is episodic and when one ends a new life begins, but with the memories of the past life locked away. The explanation regards these children with past life memories is that for a few, sometimes the censorship is broken (maybe because of an injustice in the past life) and knowledge is brought forward to the next.

Irrespective of the religious take on this, the bare medical data suggests that consciousness does indeed carry on outside of the physical form. That being the case this does point to a soul. This in and of itself does not indicate reincarnation but couple this with the past life experiences in children detailed above and there is at least a possibility that it could all fit together like this.

Why it should be like this and for what purpose (untimate enlightenment?), I have no idea. But the universe is a self-experiential entity. To have evolving and improving enlightenment seems to follow a similar pattern to the production of order from chaos - its a natural consequence of the way things are.

Best wishes

I think if you can dream something that you have never seen before, including people, they must exist some place. Would like to be regressed to find out if there is a past life.

Yes, I believe. So far I have seen 7 or 8 past lives.

I wanted to know if my smoking habit in this life time had cellular memory from past lives. It does, so now I will try a different method to quit.

I believe that with each life time you are to learn a lesson. Or to take one more step, getting closer to the All Might. Each life time a stepping stone to Christ. Living one life time at a time to the fullest. So that by the end you will have been the Judge & the judged, a man Of God & a sinner, the rapist & the raped, you will have been it all. In the end you will have no power to judge any one for anything they have done, for you have been there your self. By the time it is all said and done you will have been everything and enter the High Kingdom a humble man/woman.

Yes there is such thing as reincarnation and this could explain your dream.

I more obvious conclusion could be that of course you know where everything in the house is because it is your dream !! you are creating it, the house included
