Google it... LOL just kidding, I couldn't resist.

Give him a few days to adjust to the new environment and the different food you may be offering. its's normal for fish to not eat for a day or two after you get them. Nothing at all to worry about.

At first, feeding the peacock eel may be a little frustrating. They aren't really picky eaters. They will eat fish flakes, sinking wafers, bloodworms, shrimp pellets and more. The frustration will come when you discover that they are notoriously nocturnal feeders, meaning they will only eat when you turn the lights out. You may be disappointed when you first get your peacock eel because you may only catch a glance of it's nose sticking up from the tank's substrate. Take heart! This can change.
are you sure it is a peacock eel? my friend purchased one from wal-mart as well and it turned out to be a dojo loache. they dont seem to know anything about the fish they carry even though they pretend they do.anyways if you decide to feed shrimp pellets keep this in mind:Once the peacock eel started eating the shrimp pellets, they grow! And they grow quickly! So if you decide to feed your peacock eel shrimp pellets, keep in mind it may grow quicker than you want it to! good luck with your new buddy!!!! :-) please note that a peacock eel needs a minimum of a 36" tank to house this fish.

peacock eels are nocturnal. The reason you dont see them eat is becuase you have your aquarium lights on, or the room is too light. Try feeding them at around 6 and keep the lights off. Step away from the tank a little so it'll feel safe and secure and it should eat. good luck.

a peacock eel will grow too large for you tank. they grow 10" long, and will eat any fish smaller than 2"-3". they're predators, so meaty foods will be readily accepted, they can be fussy though, live food is preferred, bloodworm, brine shrimp etc.

they need a 36" long/30 US gallon tank minimum.
