Yes, as long as they have had their first set of shots. My little girl will be 4 months old March 2nd and we had her ears pierced just this month on the 10th and she is doing great! Give her a little tylenol about 30 minutes before you get them done for the pain and probably about 4 hours after she has them done just in case they hurt her but after that she should be fine and have a bottle ready! My little girl cried for just a second when they done them and then we gave her a bottle and she was fine! It's the best time to get their ears pierced I believe.. Hope this helps you out!!

Ur asking if ear piercing is safe.. i personally think it is not! it could get caught on sooo many things.. the baby will be interested and playing with it and everything.. what if that baby got her ear ring caught on a blanket or something and it ripped out? wouldnt u feel so bad that u were the reason that happened? all because u wanted ur baby looking cutier than she already is! let ur baby be a baby, she doesnt need jewelery and besides who's to say she even wants her ears pierced!

It'd be just as safe as for anyone else. However, it does pose a choking hazard. You're going to get some people saying it's a terrible thing to do to your baby. At the same time, she's not going to remember that it hurt and they'll be easier to clean now than they will be later. Just make sure to keep an eye on them and take her to a clean place with a good reputation.

Yes, culturally, many babies have their ears pierced immediately after birth. Just make sure that it is done professionally, preferably with the permission of your child's pediatrician, and done by a doctor to minimize the chances of infection (that means no little hole in the wall stores like Claire's -- you'll have to pay more but it's for your child's health . . . ). Also, make sure that your baby has her vaccines first -- check with her doctor!!! Good luck and hope that this helps you!!! :D

A lot of Italians will pierce their children's ears when they are babies. I really don't want to picture a baby getting it's ears pierced. I suggest you take it when it's just a little bit older. I didn't get mine till 6th grade, and I'm a freshman now. I was soooo nervous, so if she won't motivate herself to get them pierced, then It might not happen. Also, you will have to clean and rotate the earrings every day, so that she does not get an infection. I imagine that babies would be more susceptible to it, too.

Yes it is safe. Just make sure you are up to date with immunizations. The 2 and 4 month shots.

Yes. I had my daughter's done at her pediatrician's when she was 4 months old. If you are wanting to have it done, the earlier the better! After they did it, give her a quick nip on the breast/bottle to make her happy again and that's it. I figure if mine doesn't want hers pierced when she gets older, she can take them out.

If it were me I would wait for it to be done til she/he is about 3. My aunt got it done when a baby and it caught on her crib blankie and it ripped her ear. I would wait til you can ask her/him if they think they should get it done. Sometimes 5 month olds can get figety at the peicers and the peicer can make the earing uneven. It is your choice though you can do what you feel you want to do.

well, actually, it is recommended on ear piercing guides that you wait until your child is six months old, but, with so small a difference, it probably is alright.
