Not sure where to ask this. My friend got us a pet psychic for Christmas. Even though I think they are for the most part fake, I used it when my friend came back down to Fl. Because she wanted to experience it and I did not want to hurt her feelings.
When the lady came, she informed me that my pets were singing and hooting..my horse was jealous of anything/one around me, my daughter's horse wanted to be a dog, our pointer was scuicidal, our redbone was homicidal, bulldog was gay and the golden retriever hates everyone. My pets are all very well taken care of. Spoiled, happy . I have more pets she commented on, but these are the ones that made me think she was wacked out. What do you think about pet psychics? Do you believe what they say? I am sure they might be able to read some animals behavior, but this lady was a complete nut job! !

This lady was just here the other day and is calling to make another appt. I plan to tell her what I think I think. My husband thinks its a bit harsh because she might truly believe she is psychic. But come one ppl this lady was laying on the ground with my dogs crying and talking to them. While telling me what they was saying and how happy it made them. All I seen was my dogs trying to get away from her. She said because our bulldog is gay, we need to get tapes of female dogs for him to watch so it might help him with his confusion. And yes this is all true. I will be happy to give you her card.

Just for the record, my pets are typical animals, playful, loveable, sweet, energetic ect. I never felt the need to hire anyone to tell me what their behavior is. I already know them. I do not believe in psychics, but for my friends, I used her gift and had the fruitloop come. Dumb question or not, I was curious if people truly believed in them?

Basically, anyone who can read how an animal responds to it's owner and the owner's facial expressions can be a pet physic. She might believe she is a true one, but to prove my point, I have gone to a dog park and played the role- people believed me! I am definately NOT a pyschic of any sort- I can just read behavioral cues.
They will use open ended questions and see your reaction before going towards one belief or another. They will also see how your dog reacts to you.
It is a hoax, but some people buy into it- helps them find peace or they do not understand their animal at all (no common sense) and want to learn more about them- with a hefty fee, of course.
As for your dog being gay....that is untrue in animals anyways. In the animal kingdom- a male will mate with anything- male or female for either a release of sexual pressure or to show dominance.
As for the horse wanting to be a dog- so does ours- they follow us around like puppies and are always eager for attention. A well loved horse (that trusts you and you spend a lot of time with) will always show this, especially in young horses or geldings. Mares, not so much. My mare gets eager, walks towards me, then realizes what she is doing and walks away from me- it would be too undignified to walk up to me :)

I just found this question. Not only do I believe in them, I am one. Now, before you get all squitched and think I'm a nut jub... Here me out. I have been able to talk to animals all my life. I pretty much kept this ability to myself because there aren't alot of people out there that have this ability and there are many out there, like yourself, that do not believe. They hear someone drop this bomb and they start looking for the nice young men in their clean white coats carrying big butterfly nets.
Am I a nut job? Sometimes, but that's just me. Being a little crazy can be fun. Do I think anyone that says they have this ability is serious? No, I think there are a heck of a lot of fakes out there. But it's quite possible that some of them truly do believe they can talk to animals. Just like those psychics you see on t.v., not all of 'em are real, but don't think that means everyone out there is a fake, just because of one person, or because of your own personal beliefs.
I have been able to help animals talk to their humans, and it's been a very interesting experience for all involved.

Sounds a little weird...and she may be a "nut job" but it is totally possible for animals to be all those things. After all humans have emotions, and so do dogs, cats, horses etc..I mean how many people do you hear having dogs/cats that are jealous of their significant others for attention..and yes some animals are homosexuals...However, using an actual animal psychic to determine these things..I'm not a real believer..especially if they want to be paid for it...I just say if you really want to determine what your animal is, just watch their behavior..and use a behaviorist, much more accurate through studies, and less based on..psychic....but that's my take.

some people really do have the gift, but others just pretend. i think that one was definitely a pretender. i'm in psychology and we kinda learned how to read people, and i'm pretty sure people can learn to read animals as well....some better than others.

I think she is barking up the wrong tree myself. Or her collar is on way to tight, restricting oxygen to her brain.
