No. I married a woman quite opposite from me. Wouldn't it be boring if we all married our own types?

Hi there! I understand your question, I married the man I love, but not my "type" of man. I guess whoever gets what they want in "type" matters, should show off! Well by "type" I should also say that the standards we set are usually very high and almost nobody gets what they really want! For example my type of man would be: handsome chiseled with green eyes, with a good paying job, loving and caring of me, and that loves children, to have manners and class, and to love to party, (like I do!). Now did I marry him, well I settled for some of the good qualities and looks, but not all the extras!

I married someone a different type to myself.i was shy and I liked rough and ready men, men who need taking in hand. Now my husband is a better man than what he was when i met him. You see you may marry your type but at the end of the day people do change as they get older.

I am actually getting ready to get married, and No I am not marrying my "type," when it comes to the physical.
But, when it comes down to what really matters 'the inside', he is way more than I ever wished for.
I learn to not be so shallow minded, because my physical type was not what I needed.

Naw! When you see someone for the first time that fits what your "Ideal" should be and you then marry, haven't you settled? I think if you marry for the right reasons, real love, honesty, trust, openess, friends, etc. you have made the right decision based on real life terms.

I married my type...tall, thin, blond, blue eyes...together for 9 years....then we got married and 8 months later he had an affair and now we're getting divorced....so even if you get lucky and get your "type" it still isn't always best. Now I don't have a "type"...just lookin for a good guy....

I don't know what my "type" actually is. I've dated, and have been infatuated with, all kinds of people. I suppose, the fact that I am happy to be with my husband suggests that he IS "my type".

No way, my husband is about 50 pounds lighter then I have ever been attracted to, and way less interested in his looks then past mates.

I didn't think so at first but after a few years I realized that my husband was as perverse as I was. We had 19 wonderful years together.
