Lets say that I had a folder of different files that I wanted to save to a flash disk or something, but they were too big. What is the best way to compress them, .ZIP or .RAR or what?

Use 7-Zip's own format will compress it to smaller but it still might not fit.

Just put them into a zip, wont compress the size by alot but maybe alittle. Flashdrives over here are 15$ for 2 GB, so if your really need to go buy a bigger one (Microcenter is the store im talking about with 15$ 2 GB ones.)

either will do fine, to make them as small as possible, go into the options and set it for max compression instead of speed.
