im 17 years old and want to know what would be best , i want to be involved in game design...no experience in it but i love to draw

I had the same question too and I found that the best thing to do is go to an art institute because at a community college or a regular university you have to take general education course like english, science and math. They take up time and money and don't really help you to be a better game designer. The plus of an art institute is that everything you do there is specifically designed around the major that you want to persue. Plus, if you are not wasting time with general education classes, you will get your degree a lot faster!!
The only downside is that an art institute is probably going to cost a lot more money than a community college. Mainly because its more hands on, smaller class sizes, and its more accelarated than a community college course.

community college, because you will save money on a lot of the same classes then you can decide to finish your game design degree at a four year university ( yes they have that option) or at the art institute! Going to a community college will leave you with more options if you change your mind and what to do something else the art institute units my not transfer and you would have wasted your time!

I would say an art institute because it gies you hands on trainng and sometimes you get to complete the classes faster than if you were at a community college.If you go to a community college you are going have to od other courses such as English,Maths but if you think you can handle that then go for it
