it seems when ever i am performing an activity, they tend to hurt a little. everyone knows about protein and calcium for muscle and bone, but what to eat for tendons and ligaments? they are very important also.

protein and omega oils
i had to add those when i tore ligaments in my ankle!

With tendons and ligaments, because they don't grow or strengthen except with use, it's best to stretch both before and after workouts, and warm up properly. The foods you would best be served by eating are those same foods you would normally include in a healthy diet - fruits, vegetables, proteins, carbs, add in some omega-3 fatty acids, et cetera.

You need protein, but try adding Omega oils to your diet. Also, make sure you properly warm up and down.
