My company manages numerous apartment buildings and condominium developments. As such, I feel qualified to offer you a few suggestions.

The first thing that we, as a management team, do is to determine the cause of the complaint. Many times it turns out to be a simple personality conflict with the tenants or condominium habitants. We had a similar situation several months ago.

Perhaps you could consider why your upstairs neighbors are upset. I'm sure it isn't the sky light in itself that is the problem. The vast majority of dwellers would welcome the addition of a design detail such as a lit flooring section. So, why would they complain?

Well, this can be a bit touchy, but I am only trying to help. Have you considered your physical appearance? Now, I know this is hard, but it is important. Do you walk around in the all together? Is that something you think they would want to see?

Another thing to think about is the guests you have over. Are they attractive? You may well be judged by the sexual inclination of your neighbors. Are your house guests male or female? And how does that affect the sensibilities of the people above you?

So many things to consider. The solution to a situation such as yours can be very elusive.

I can only suggest one thing with the limited information you have supplied.

Lay on the floor, under the sky light, and wag your pee pee at them.

I know that it worked for me.

It's an APARTMENT...If you want a skylight without offending anyone, maybe you should BUY A HOUSE!!! You could also in your mind, try switching places with them and try to imagine how you would feel if the situation were reversed. Would you like it? Please be honest with yourself. You may then realize what you did wrong.

You silly beggar! You put it right on the floor of their closet and now they can't flash you like they were hoping. I just hope you can undo the damage and put it under their bathroom like a good fella.
