Kendrick is a no brainer to me, especially since it's a keeper league. He has the tools the become a fantasy stud, and thats huge since there isn't much at 2B except Utley. Kendrick destroyed the minor leagues, and after a slow start came on strong last year. He's an automatic .300 hitter, and will be a Tony Gywnn / Wade Boggs type. Smoltz is good, but don't let his name fool you. You can get another lesser known pitcher that will get you the same production later on. Smoltz is going to retire soon, while Kendrick just started.

Howie Kendrick or John Smoltz?
ooh...I'd take Smoltz, because you can probably draft Kendrick later and Smoltz is a decent pitcher for this season anyway...

I'd keep Kendrick. There are a lot of pitchers in Smoltz's class and you will have more options when its time to get him rather than the other way.
