I want to know how I can monitor my son's email account without signing into his email every time? Is there an automated email that can be sent to my email account? Also how can he create an account with MySpace without my permission?

If you know your son's email address for myspace you can report myspace and they can shut down his account.

You could delete his e-mail accounts, that would solve everything. But wouldn't seem fair. I really don't see why a 9 yr. old would really need an e-mail account anyway lol but that's just me. XD
There are diffrent things you can try, umm some diffrent types of software or e-mail settings can help with that. Check with the brand your using send them an e-mail or call.
For the myspace, he probably doesn't just have the 1 e-mail account. Remember yahoo, msn, aol and everything is free. So he can create a new account for e-mail and myspace. There are warnings that kida under the age of 13 shouldn't have a myspace, i think it should be under 15 ish...but that's me. XD

I suggest that if you are worried about his myspace, check his e-mails and see which account he's using. Then you'd be able to get his password. Or create your own and monitor him that way. =]

depends on the email client he uses...if he has outlook then probably you can create a rule which would send you a copy of the email he sends. For webbased emails I don't think u can do much except log in.

I am sure he can create an account with MySpace without ur permission.

Hmm...I'm not sure about monitoring. I know AOL has a feature called AOL Guardian, which allows you to monitor WHO sends him email and who he sends email to. Making a MySpace page, however, does not require parental permission. He can enter an age of 13+ and he's in.

In my opinion, if your son is 9 years old, you shouldn't be monitoring his email. My mother tried the same thing and I only ended up hating her for it. A MySpace, however, is different. If he has one, make sure you monitor it frequently, and make sure your son knows basic safety rules for the Internet.

If your son has a SBC Global Yahoo! account, you should be able to get reports automatically. And no. He can't make a MySpace with your permission and without lying about his age. I wouldn't recommend MySpace for a 9-year-old though.

This isn't about trust. It's about safety and establishing realistic boundaries. The guy that mentioned trust is probably a petophile wishing we would leave our kids unassisted on the internet.

I created my daughter's email and set it up in Outlook. I have her mailbox as a secondary account in my outlook so I can take a peek whenever I want. I created her a separate profile so she can access just her mailbox without mine getting in the way.

I accept as true with bic. 9 is plenty to youthful to have her very own digital mail handle. How could you be responsive to who she's emailing and who she's receiving emails from? this is in simple terms inviting trouble. Sorry, in simple terms my opinion.....

You don't need to learn how to monitor your son's mail.

You need to learn how to become "Open Mind", you need work on your self , you should trust your son.

Anyway, your are not allowed to do that!
