For sure the chicken came first. Right, I´m a creationist.
But I wonder why an evolutionist ask this question. After all, do you have any doubt that your mom came before you as a fetus?

at one time, there was something that wasnt exactly a chicken and something that was considered a chicken. that not-quite chicken laid an egg that contained the embryo of what would develope into the chicken. if you are pat roberts, this is heracy. All the changes that make a chicken a chicken didn't arise from one animal or at one time, so there would have been a lot of not-quite chickens in between, but eventually one of them would have had the first chicken from the egg that came first.

In my opinion the chicken came first because without the chicken how would the eggs hatch?

In truth it was the chicken, and where did that chicken come from? it evolved from a chicken that reproduced asexually. (think a cell dividing, this time its a chicken)
this new chicken didn't copy the DNA perfectly and it instead of dividing, laid the first egg. which hatched, laid another egg, which then hatached etc...
and thats the end of that.

i think dinosaurs came before chickens and they layed eggs, you did not say you meant a chickens egg so therefore egg came before chicken
