Do you give to charity? What cause(s) do you deem worthy?

If 10% of the average $907 that Americans spent on Christmas gifts went to children in need, 42 million children could be helped for an entire year according to statistics provided to me during an interview with World Vision.

This year, I conducted an experiment, and asked for donations to World Vision and Heifer.org instead of Christmas gifts. Many folks simply chose to give me gifts anyway, but several did make donations instead, resulting in $137 going to these charities.

I also have a website where I sell art to support these two fine charitable organizations. The next time you need art for your office, church, or home walls, please consider my website. I am only 15. So I can't really give to many charities yet. But I have helped to raise money for the March Of Dimes and I also walked with them(4 miles.. whew what a work out). I also plan to do that again this year.. so yeah.

I give to the United Way through payroll deduction, and designate my money for the American Red Cross, because here in southern CA they did so much for the displaced families in our community during the horrible fires we had a few years back. I also give to the Child Welfare Fund here in my local school district because they buy shoes and eyeglasses and coats and dental work for our students. I also give to the Cancer Federation because my dad died of cancer. I also donate to the Humane Society when I am down there because nobody helps the poor helpless animals.

I give to United Way and St Judes, goodwill and people that need stuff i was gonna throw out. I would rather they take the stuff i no longer need, If could I would give to A charity that helpe kids,all kinds poor, abused sick no matter the illness especially if terminal,

Yes, I give. I give clothing to the women's shelter. Toys to childrens charity. And even change to bums on the street. What matters is that they are local and truly in need not just having a case of the "Wants."

I volunteer and I give donations to miscellaneous charities...
it depends on what they are fund raising for.

Also, I am an Air1 supporter.......that is a Christian radio station.

Yes I give to St. Judes and Riley's Children's Hospital.They help children and I know all the money goes towards what they say it will.

I donate money to Children of the night.org,they help get child prostitutes of the street.

i give to Goodwill cuz it just make stuff cheeper for poor ppl and i also want to join the 501st Legion(star wars people that suport all charaties) cuz they go to all charaty drives like Red Cross, and other stuff.

i dont like the idea of mother's not being able to feed their children and the baby dying in their arms becuz of it. so the disadvantaged starving and the exploited children, i like ijm.org
